He runs an exclusive international company and since 95, he has been delivering enriching insights and results oriented outcomes to his clients. His seminars, keynotes and trainings around the world are changing businesses with amazing levels of positive increase. He's worked with Brian Tracy. He's worked with Jack Canfield. And guess what he's going to be doing some work with Anthony Robbins. Guess what? He's going to tell you more about it in this episode. So buckle up. Well, hello, Rene, welcome back to another episode of dissecting success. And we got Rene here, tuning in from the other side of the pond. We're now international podcast. How's it going, Rene.

René Deceuninck:

Hey, thank you, Blair. Thank you so much for the invite doing very well. We're on the other side of the pond. Indeed. Holland for the moment used to be in hon London for a bit. But yeah, and so very excited. I'm I'm very honored and pleasure and bliss. And I can share my knowledge and my experiences that I have to my life, which is still short I and my belief.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I love it. Well, you know what, let's dive in with the juicy question. What does success mean to you?

René Deceuninck:

That's a very good question. And it's a very easy answer. In fact, it's personal success. It's personal. It's just like, Hey, what is becoming rich? What is defined rich, right? becoming successful? What is that for somebody, it's winning to a game. And in a local pub, like the darts game. For another person, this guy says winning a marathon and for another person is having 10 million on their bank account. What is success to an individual for me is being happy. And what makes me happy is for me success being being loved being have enough? How shall I say? clarity in life to have that? Yeah, success is something that fulfills your needs, as I would say, and if your needs are fulfilled, that great to happen isn't a great happiness, Grace, kind of calmness and give that smile on your face. And for me, that's success. Yeah.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

What brings you happiness? What is it that right now in your life, Renee, that is making you happy to make you feel successful?

René Deceuninck:eople surrounding you. And in:Theresa Lambert:

love that so much, Rene. And the thing that really stands out to me and had the pleasure to connect with you a couple of feels like a month ago now, maybe it was weeks ago. And you told me your story. And we had this amazing chat. And just two things that you kept saying that I think is going to resonate with so many people is in a voted down so I wouldn't get it wrong is wouldn't it be great? If right to allow ourselves to say out loud? Like, wouldn't it be great if I worked with Tony Robbins one day? Oh, wouldn't it be great if, you know, I became whatever you want to be one day, right? Like to actually this dreaming? Like there was that potential in that? And then watch me, I'll show you. Like, I love those two put together because there's something so accessible for all of us when we lay it out that way, because our mind can sort of catch up with it, right? It's like, Wouldn't it be nice? Wouldn't it be great F would it be amazing F right? Like whatever you want to say, and then watch me, I'll show you it's kind of that this is a cool thought. And now I'm gonna go do it. And I just love that. I think that's just so inspiring.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

And I just want to play on that, Renee, that story is phenomenal. And what really resonated, that I think is extremely relatable to me and potentially a lot of our listeners is that you use other people's doubt as your fuel. You use other people's negative, you know, negative negativity, negative vibes, negative thoughts, doubt, to launch you into achieving those goals. Because I've been doing that my entire life when someone tells me I can't do something or shouldn't do something hecky I'm going to do and I'm going to do it well, and I'm going to let everyone know about it and look at it. Look at me now. And so I think that's really, really brilliant. And I love that story. And I really like how you started off when you were, you know from being bullied as a kid. I mean, it didn't like that, that sucked. I was bullied being bullied sucks. If you're out there and listening and you're bully, you're mean go away. But if you started off as this kid being bullied in school, to collaborating with Tony Robbins, who's one of the most like well known names in NLP personal development. I think that's just such an empowering story that like really, if you have that drive and you want to do something, it doesn't matter what other people have to say. You can just go for it and do it and do things to make yourself happy not to get that extra credential on your paper. Right and to get that to get that thing to brag about but do what makes you happy. And you're a shining example of that.

René Deceuninck:rdone backstage in Birmingham:Blair Kaplan Venables:

I just want to say that is just a very timely piece of advice specifically for me, and maybe a lot of other people. Because that's a brilliant story. And I love that you just shared that. Because I believe in the power of manifestation. And a couple of years ago, I went through some hard stuff and I decided to start something called the I am resilient project. And since I've started that project, my life has been a shit show. Like lots of really great things have happened. But my grandfather died, my husband had a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery and almost died. He's fine now. Then my I had a miscarriage and my father in law passed away, my mother passed away my husband's having some other health issues. And that's ever since I started the I am resilient project. So I'm actually in the process of writing my first my, my first book of on this project, which is collaborating with other people who have stories of resilience and publishing a book to inspire others. And I've literally just been playing with the idea of maybe after this project, pivoting or bringing someone else in to run it, because I've put it out in the universe, how resilient I am. And the universe has been testing me. And I think you being our guest and sharing that story that I had no idea about, just now is a sign from the universe that saying, yes, Blair, get this book out? It's coming out probably late May, early June, and then pivot.

René Deceuninck:

Yeah. Yeah. You know, yeah. You go ahead, go ahead.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I was just gonna say, because I am resilient. But I've been putting it out how resilient I am. And I'm being tested.

René Deceuninck:ian speaker. And I met him in:Theresa Lambert:

Yeah, amazing. Rene, I love everything that you've shared so far. And, you know, one thing that sort of sits with me, and as we're wrapping this interview up as well, I thought I'd bring that up, you know, to something you said to you know, put it out there, and then take some action, but also the thing and I hope that everyone listening, you know, is noticing that oh, we listen to this episode, after you've listened to it, again, is the time that went between putting it out there and actually happening, right? Some of the things happen faster and other things took 23 years to actually happen, right to actually hold on to that belief and to keep taking that action, even if you're not, you know, if you don't have evidence of it happening, but showing up for it day after day after day again, and that just as power of a choice. I mean, even with what Pleshette right, like this choice off. Okay. I think it's time now to wrap up the iron resilient project. And then to focus on what else right each choice each position, each putting it out there sort of has, it's almost seems like new downloads, you know, get to come in and then happen and unfold. And I just really love that. But if you would have to give just one piece of advice to people on their path to success. As we wrap up, what would that be,

René Deceuninck:

is to never quit. It's in the moments of, in your worst moments that you experience in life are the most beautiful moments. Because in those moments, I will I do when when I'm in the moment of the things are completely going wrong and stuff for me, it's not going to happen and why me and why Lord, come on. I didn't ask for all this. But in those moments, these are the moments you can't quit. Because in those moments, there's an amazing amount of opportunities. And what I do is that when I have those moments that thing because I'm not Mr. Happiness, I'm not Mr. Lucky. And I'm not Mr. Howard all I mean all Mr. Success at all. I mean, I've got my part in life as well, just as you Teresa or Blair, we all have our challenges in life. And like the people listening we all have challenges, but what I do when I have those challenges, I get I get into my helicopter, and I fly above it. And I take a helicopter view and I said you know what? What is serving me? What is right for me? Do I serve other people with what I see and what I do? And if I am on the right track, I will keep doing what I'm doing. Because there's something called universe and some people call it God other people call it whatever you want to call it. But it is something out there that is looking at you and if you're on the right track, keep doing what you're doing. And you can only see that from a helicopter view. You know, you stay there downstairs and you fly above You and your watch you and if you're on the right track, keep doing it if you're on the wrong track, correct it I remember the the story from Robert Kiyosaki. I met him in Thailand and he was talking about, he started the first company. And that company went broke. And they Correct, correct, correct, change, certain things started, the second company went broke, correct, correct. Change, certain things started, the third company went broke. Correct, correct. Change, change. And each time from a helicopter view, watch your company, watch your life, watch your family watch it from a helicopter view. And by the fourth time he created his new company, Ford company, they were up and running today, they're millionaires. It is about look at it from a helicopter form. And that's my advice to people. If you feeling in a situation that you're a very bad situation, and it's not working out for you, you got problems, but your family problems and your business problems with your work. Stop thinking, get into that helicopter, fly above your situation, have a look at it. And if it's serving you serving others, and you know you're on the right track, keep doing what you're doing. If you feel like something's wrong, change these things. I changed big things in my life. In my relationships in my marriages, I changed that things. And if I wouldn't have done it, I would not be where I am today. I lost so many friends. And I was so happy because they made plays for better friends. That's another way of looking at it. People I'm using my friends, okay, lose them. Okay. And the other day, I was listening to Sadhguru about how I'm so happy after this life. I'm going to heaven. Why don't you go today? If it's so good out there. Why don't you leave, leave go. You might be in heaven already. But maybe you're a mess. You're making a mess of it today. Of that heaven where you are today. So start living today. Don't wait for right. But to come back to your question, Teresa, is that what would your one thing be is fly above your life? Have a look at your life. And if you're on the right track, keep doing what you're doing if you're not changed things and get back on track.

Theresa Lambert:

Wow. Wow. That was amazing. Thank you so much for Rene for joining us today, all the way from Europe and sharing that incredible wisdom. I feel like that lands on so many levels with me today. And I have a sense it might be with Blair as well. And I'm sure our listeners Blair. Any final thoughts before we wrap up?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I just can't wait to get into my helicopter after this conversation. So Thanks, Rene. tuning in everyone and Renee thanks for it's the evening for you morning for us. And we hope you all have an awesome day listening out there in podcast land peace.
