Theresa Lambert:

Hello, hello and welcome back to another fascinating episode. It's active sector. I am Theresa Lambert your co host here with Blair Kaplan Venables and I am officially tuning in from the other side of the country. I have made it to Toronto I flew out on Sunday, I have officially packed up my life. I am one of those people that have their belongings in one bag and a carry on and a backpack. Three pieces and a yoga mat that couldn't fit in the bag. And this is how we're starting this like August recap we thought let's talk about August. I feel like August seemed to go a long time and then all of a sudden here we are. August is over. Which is crazy. Crazy Crazy Crazy. So it's been a I feel like it's been another wild man for me. I'm just finishing things up. I feel like I was just tidying, tidying, tidying, tidying, finishing packing, getting ready to leave, getting my house in order. So to say. And now that I have left things are clicking into place, which is really, really exciting. I finally got my passport application. And I don't even know if I ever mentioned this on this podcast. But it's been a seven month journey to even get that in and I'll be able to pick it up on the seventh of September, which means I can fly internationally Yay. I have booked my flight to runners iris which is going to be my next destination at the end of September. So I'm super excited about that. And I've started exploring Toronto, which is so fun. It's it's really fun to be in a different place. It looks so different here. I've got a whole month to explore which I'm really really excited and, and yeah, things are moving forwards. I feel like all of a sudden things are just clicking into place. I launched my master class scale to 10k which is actually happening today. Life as you're listening to this podcast, and yeah, I'm super excited. Like I feel like we've sort of hit a turning point. As we're finishing August and beginning September. It's like this back to school feeling that you get, you know, at the end of August, like when everyone's back to school and back. I really feel this momentum hitting now. And that is like that is

Blair Kaplan Venables:

August. Like yeah,

Theresa Lambert:

it's a blip and it's crazy and it's changed and I'm feeling good.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah, first of all, whoa, you did it. You got your passport sorted. You moved across the country you fit your life into a storage locker. But you also forgot to mention you came and hung out with a with me for a week in Kamloops.

Theresa Lambert:

I know I thought you're gonna bring Oh, okay. Um,

Blair Kaplan Venables:

yeah, August well, okay, so August his birthday month. And so I had a huge like 10 days of celebration, which was super awesome. And part of that included going down to Seattle to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Such a good show. They're my favorite band. It's funny passport stuff. My friend Robin was supposed to come with me but she her passport expired so she couldn't get it in time. So my husband was the backup but we had a really nice trip and treats and you came to hang out. I had a birthday celebration. You know? I book launch party, which was amazing because I didn't have a chance to celebrate launching my first book. And so we had a backyard fancy themed book launch party, where we celebrated the book and my birth and we eat cupcakes, so many cupcakes, there was a crazy lightning storm, no rain, but lightning all around us for the evening. And it felt like my parents were there. It was really beautiful. You know, I wanted a bit of a quiet summer to heal from all of the trauma. And I have some big things brewing in my business, which I'll slowly unfold on this podcast. But I haven't been feeling good. Like, I've been productive, and I'm working and I'm doing great. But like, internally, I have felt like something was wrong. And I actually have an IUD. And I thought maybe my IUD like was out of place or something. And so since June, I haven't felt awesome. And I being the social media expert that I am I a crowd sourced I put it on my social media story, basically asking any woman or any identifying woman who has an IUD to let me know, like, Is it normal that I have this pain? So I've had pain and cramping and nauseousness and like a few other things. And the consensus was 100% of the people who answered my poll told me to go to the ER. And so I thought maybe something was going on. Like I'm talking like, I've taken pregnancy tests, like, I'm gaining weight, acne and weird spots. Like, I don't feel right. I'm really bloated, like it hurts to wear pants. I mean, I don't wear pants anyways, I like rompers and dresses. But when it comes time to pants, or underpants, you know, it hurts. And so I go to the ER last week, and I go for some tests. And I learned that I have a four and a half centimeter cyst on my left ovary, which is what's causing this pain. So I have more appointments coming up. And I guess we're gonna see how that goes. But I decided yesterday that I'm going to name him his name is Sylvester, Sylvester the cyst. So we're on this journey together. You know, the one doctor thinks he's gonna resolve itself, I'm gonna push to get it removed. I don't want it to keep growing. I'd like it out of my body, which it's nice to know that I know, I feel like it's not in my head. And then I'm actually feeling sick because there's something not well with me. But I also had my dad's unveiling, I was in Winnipeg for a couple days with family and we honored my dad's all life and passing and that was really beautiful. I got to see family. And yeah, I'm just preparing I haven't really, really crazy September coming up. So I'm just wrapping up some projects, I'm really working hard on sales, there's been a huge demand for businesses and entrepreneurs who want to work with me in the done for you space where I take on their marketing. So I'm just looking at what the next few months are going to look like what the end of 2023 is going to look like. But it's been really cool to see. See the interest in my services and my products. And what I've decided to bring back as my free monthly workshops in September, I have two workshops, so September 1, and then another one mid September, but I'm always going to have them updated at my Lincoln bio. So on my link tree you can find that on my Instagram there's always going to be what workshops coming up next for free because I really believe in sharing my knowledge but i don't know i August was was it's been a roller coaster. It was awesome to spend time with Theresa before she's on her adventure. I don't know when we're going to actually see each other in person again. It's like we're back to the pandemic being zoom pals. Zoom besties but I don't know, it's it's definitely been interesting, like and Theresa, what? Like, what is the timber look like for you?

Theresa Lambert:

Well, what does September look like, for me?

Theresa Lambert:

Loads of exciting things. I feel like happening. You know, I agree. First of all, I want to say was so nice that I could stay with you for a week and I saw your renovated home. Because when I stayed with us previously, you were still in like full on renovation mode. That was Yeah, and I really love that, you know, be able to be there for your book launch party and that we could get like we got to spend this time together because you're right. I am on the move now like I'm literally on a move now I am now embracing nomadic entrepreneur life which is crazy. And that's completely new to me. And it's getting used to you know, moving around being in different places and finding a groove in this moving and being in different spaces. Right now. I'm staying with a friend in Toronto so it's a little bit different again, but I'll be heading to one as Iris at the end of September and as far as my business is concerned. While I'm doing that I've actually brought in quite a few team members for to all start and such So I'll be having three team members working with me about 30 hours a week OBM Patricia, she's amazing. And then two virtual assistants. And I also have some copywriting support, as well. So it's going to be a really, really exciting month to, to have more people coming in and to have that team support, which is huge. And that's something that I've really been working on is putting in the systems and the processes and the team to be able to scale my business because I realized I just wasn't able to continue to do it without burning myself in the ground in the process. And I wasn't going to do that, especially knowing that I'm going to be traveling and I want to be able to have the time and space dedicated to experiencing all the beautiful places that I go while successfully running my business. And that's going to be really, really exciting. And for business launches. Coming back, I'm super excited my signature program, we talk about launching on this podcast blog called me the launch queen. I'm so excited to be bringing launch back. And yeah, teaching you how to get your programs launched from literally like having your program idea to taking it and launching it successfully online, which is so amazing. And I guarantee that you make your first or next sale when you join. And if you don't, you can put the amount that you've paid for the program towards any other program, which is really cool, because I believe in that process so much. And I have seen the power off launching this way, both how we have done it for momentum or momentum code which will come back but also through all the work that's been done with my clients. So this is really, really exciting. This is the first time that I'm having this guarantee, add it to this program. Now of course you have to show up and do the work for that. But that is really cool. And that's something new. And that's part of the systems also that I've been putting in place. And I'm officially welcoming clients for my new one to one offer, which actually includes done for you services I did not do before. So it's interesting that both Blair and I actually I'm moving to Office, I'm done for you services again. And I'm really excited to be taking what you have in your business, your current business model, your current offers your your current ideas, and essentially building you a scalable business model mapping you out your office, making them irresistible coming up with a success map to really get you to what the next level in your business for you is if it's from five figures to six figures, or five, six figures to multiple six figures. And we're sprinkling spirituality into it. And I've got some team members that are coming on board. So we are going to include your astrology chart into that, we're going to be knowing what's happening for you with that your human design is going to be a factor. So your business strategy and your plan on how you get to the next level and scale will be created for you. And based on your unique human design based on your astrology, it's going to be the coolest thing ever. And I can't wait to put my CEO and create a hat on for you and map this out for you in a few weeks and do work for you that probably will take you months to do on your own, or even months to do when I support you as your coach. And then we spend five months together actually making sure you end integrate and implement it. So as we raise your prices, we can work on making sure that you can stand behind your prices and stand in your work and on the value of your work. Which was a huge resistance point for me like I really struggled through making some of the changes to my programs and my business. So I know that it's on both. So I'm excited to have done for you services now, which is brand new and so exciting. And like I feel like this is the first time I'm actually saying this.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

You know what? Oh my gosh, first of all, wow. Like congratulations. But because you and I offers such different yet so complimentary services, maybe there are listeners out there who want to work with the both of us to have us come into their business as a team.

Theresa Lambert:

Absolutely.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

If you're interested, let us know. Like we'll hop on a discovery call Theresa and I are magical. I mean, heck, you've made it this far in our podcast. It's almost like it's Episode What 90

Theresa Lambert:

88

Blair Kaplan Venables:

88 Oh my god eighth my lucky number and this is 88 Abundance abundance. That's what eight is I'm calling the eighth to the eighth eighth my lucky number eights infinity it's abundance. You want some abundance by working with Teresa, or Teresa and me or just me but like probably both of us. Let's do it. Let's make you some money. I love that I'm so happy that you brought in team members. I'm excited to see how this all works with integrating that in your traveling on the go and you know your new version of being a nomad printer. I made that up. I don't know if it's actually a word NO MATTER printer. But I. Yeah, I love it. And you just reminded me I also brought on Trisha, Trisha, Patricia, sorry, I have a client named Tricia and I work with Patricia, Patricia, because she's really helping me too. And I just gave her access to my email to help me clean it up. And right now there's like over 18,000 unread emails, and she's like, Oh, my God. So I'm really excited for her to help me as well. And it's about systems and processes, but also getting help, we don't need to do it all alone. And it's I'm really excited to have like, Patricia support. I'm also really excited for you, Teresa to be living this life because you've been talking about it for years not wanting to be in winter and wanting to travel and be by the ocean. So it's going to be really cool to follow your story on social media. And like how everything unfolds.

Theresa Lambert:

Totally, I'm so I'm so excited. I'm like, already, like I went down to Kensington Market A few days ago here in Toronto, and I know, it's probably like for Torontonians they're like, we're lame. But like, I thought it was really cool. It was fun. You know, it's, it's fun exploring new places and different places. And you're right, like I've been wanting to follow the sun for years and be in the sun. So I'm so excited to Yeah, like have a little bit of city with Toronto and bonus iris and then be hitting the beach for the rest of winter going into Costa Rica and then don't know yet quite where I'm gonna go next. And this is exciting, too. So yeah, if you want to follow along my journey, follow me at Theresa Lambert coaching. And if you work with me and Blair or me and or Blair, but I think both of us is brilliant, then you literally get to see where I am all the time. Like I was laughing today this month call for our momentum cord. I was coming in from Toronto, but next month I will be tuning in from Buenos iris and then the following month maybe Brenda's Iris but might be Costa Rica so it's gonna be really fun if will clients as well to come on this journey with me literally as they'll be tuning in with different backgrounds from different places. And yeah, embracing nomadic life and also the challenges that come with it like my cable to my microphone. my Blue Yeti broke on the way to Toronto. Oops,

Blair Kaplan Venables:

time for a new Mikey.

Theresa Lambert:

Oh, it's just a cable tie. No,

Blair Kaplan Venables:

but you know what, this is a good excuse for you to maybe well, you've already committed to your Yeti. But you know, there's so many great travel options for mics as well.

Theresa Lambert:

I'm actually I'm thinking about that if anybody's listening to this and knows a really good like microphone, I feel like I have on recommendation already. But it would be really good to have a microphone that just plugs in that clips and blogs. That's tiny. So maybe to get that sorted out.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I love that. I'm looking at that too, because I have a bunch of travel coming up in September for all sorts of cool things. And I'm like, I don't know if I want to keep traveling with this mic. So let's share what we

Theresa Lambert:

have a lot of space. Yeah, well, this is gonna be a cool thing to check in on

Blair Kaplan Venables:

the mic. Yeah. Yeah,

Theresa Lambert:

the mic situation. I mean, you know,

Blair Kaplan Venables:

oh, choose your own adventure suspense. Microphone will Teresa and up with or will it just be a new court? Who? Frickin knows? Okay, so, September. I know you didn't ask them. But I'm telling you what I'm doing in September. Oh,

Theresa Lambert:

sorry. I thought you use Google. Oh, what are you doing in September.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

September, I'm making money and networking, and making sales calls and writing. I'm getting back into my writing. I'm starting to feel inspired again. And I'm going on the road. I'm going to be in Austin, Texas. For Houston hustle. I'll be speaking about resilience there. The keynote is Richard Branson. So that is very exciting. I come home for a couple days and turn around and I had to Ontario to camp tail wind. It's a camp for female entrepreneurs. It's at summer camp. It's great. I'm facilitating a workshop on resilience there. And right from Toronto, I fly to Warsaw, Poland. One of my clients is the head sponsor for urban tech forward, which is a Smart Cities conference in Poland and I've never been to Poland. I'm Jewish. I've been studying all sorts of Jewish history since I was basically probably in my mother's womb. But I'm going to stay a bit longer in Warsaw and go visit some of the significant spots in our history. So if you are curious to see how all September unfolds for me, I invite you to follow along. I'm going to try and give Richard note. I'm going to try I'm going to give Richard a copy of the global Resilience Project. Book Sir Richard, get ready I'm going to bring my book with me all over to Ontario to Europe. If you've ever been to Warsaw or any of the surrounding areas, and you have suggestions for things to do, I'm open to cool experiences. But yeah, I mean, I had a crazy June and then July and August, I mostly was home. So I'm feeling ready to travel again, I'm a little nervous to bring Sylvester on the road with me, but I have a companion inside me. So as long as Sylvester behaves and doesn't grow or burst for good. I'm like,

Theresa Lambert:

I don't know that I liked that. You gave it a name. Sylvester. Okay, Sylvester, maybe that's, that's why I hope Sylvester will be removed.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah, I'm gonna hear Sylvester. But until now he's part of me just the two. So

Theresa Lambert:

for now, Sylvester gets to hang out. But we want to take care of Sylvester. And

Blair Kaplan Venables:

so I have a doctor's appointment with my doctor on September 6. And I have another ultrasound in November. So I'm not sure if any action will be taken between the doctor's appointment and the ultrasound. But I'll keep everyone updated on semesters situation. But for now, Sylvester. And, you know, I think we named him. And again, I don't know if this is morbid or whatnot. But like I'm starting to I started out, I looked bloated, and I looked a little pregnant. And I wanted to be a mom forever. And I got to get pregnant after being told I couldn't and I had a miscarriage. And after all the significant loss, we had my husband and I decided not to have kids. So this might, so for me, it's like this thing is growing inside me. So I give it a name.

Theresa Lambert:

I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say. Other than you. And I continue to navigate 3d exciting things, and really big chins, and also weird stuff.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

It's weird, weird science.

Theresa Lambert:

It is hilarious. But

Blair Kaplan Venables:

life is weird. Life is weird and messy and beautiful. And that's why we have this podcast. We share stories of success. We share stories of cysts, we share stories of love and divorce and travel or, you know, or everything in between while building our businesses, right. And yeah,

Theresa Lambert:

I'm really curious. I feel like the definition of success is, is currently in transition or transformation. For me, I feel like I feel like it's kind of changing right now. I'm like getting back to actually redefining what success means to me. And I've been thinking about that, because things have I've made so many significant changes in the last couple of months. And I'm just literally, like I said, like, I feel like I'm just coming on the other side out of this, like, major life transition, and things are moving forward now. But as they do, my life is so different. Like, nothing is the same than it was for me right now. Nothing. It's other than this podcast, there was a few things, but you get my domain like my life is, like, completely different. And with that, I feel like I mean, we've always said Success is a journey. But I'm ready to define success in a new way for myself.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

How about this? And this may be a good spot to wrap. Yeah, but I propose on episode 100. You and I dive into our new definitions

Theresa Lambert:

of success. I love that 12 episodes away.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

So 12 episodes, so that's like three months.

Theresa Lambert:

Yeah. Who knows what I'll be?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah, it's gonna be exciting. But I think you know, we have a lot of really great guests coming up. I love doing these monthly recaps. Hopefully our listeners love it, too. I mean, our lives changed so much so fast. You know, next month when we do this recap at the end of September. Like I'm probably going to be recording it from Poland. Right, and you're going to be in Argentina.

Theresa Lambert:

Yeah, you would have spoken with Russell Brunson. And

Blair Kaplan Venables:

oh, yes. So we're gonna have a really exciting update. I mean, every update, it was exciting. But I mean, I think I really liked this because it gives us a reason to come together, recap, you know, our lessons learned what we're, we're at what we're doing. And while we're building our businesses, and, you know, I desire to have consistent multiple, five figures a month and more, I have some big, audacious goals and I'm restructuring how I do things. But I also believe in the balance of travel and fun and days off and living my best life and it's, you know, navigating grief and now health stuff. And you you know, you do you do, you're you're doing what you've wanted to do for years, and you're building this business while doing it. So, for you, you were building your business and then it was a pandemic. He went from like literally being at home in your condo to now not having a home and being like a citizen of the world with a Canadian passport that comes on September 7. So I don't know. I just I voted change in two years. We have we did not even years. Hmm. We've been fighting for two years.

Theresa Lambert:

Yeah, cuz we started the podcast. Yeah, like a year and a half. The podcast is a year and a half because the podcast launched in January of 2020. And it's now August of 2022.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Holy schnikeys. Okay, on that note, you know what, thanks for tuning in to another episode of dissecting success. We're rewriting history, we're redefining success. We're relearning who we are every day, every week, every conversation we're having. We are so grateful for all of you who've tuned in, followed along our journey, and we cannot wait to keep dissecting success with you. So until next time.

Theresa Lambert:

That's a wrap for another episode of dissecting success. enjoyed this episode. Make sure to subscribe to black goblin Venables and Theresa Lambert's podcast dissecting success on the App Store.
