Blair Kaplan Venables:How can you get it?
Theresa Lambert:Can people take it away? Or are you the one with the power?
Blair Kaplan Venables:Does it mean the same to all of us? Or are we the ones that create it?

Blair Kaplan Venables:hello, here we are another episode of dissecting success. It's me Blair Kaplan Venables and I'm here with the amazing, the wonderful, the special, Teresa Lambert, oh my gosh. So we were just jamming offline. And now we're taking the conversation online. So as you know, I'm a communications expert. I'm a social media expert. I'm a thought leader. And I really specialize in getting your story out into the public and helping you become a thought leader. And part of the way I do that is with publicity, with teaching you how to get your own publicity and how to help other people get you publicity. And I work with a publicist, I also have a PR coach. So I work at constantly getting my own publicity while someone else helps me get exposure. And I signed up for something and I get email prompts, where journalists ask questions, not Haro not Help a Reporter Out, which is an amazing tool, but something else, and I responded to it. And the question yesterday was asking, what is a quote, something that I live by, or that gets me really inspired? And my most favorite quote comes from my most favorite movie. So Well, first of all, start with my most favorite movie, my most favorite movie is Empire records. If you know me at all you've been following along well, the last couple of years, you haven't seen me go to concerts because it's been a pandemic, but I love live music. I will stop outside a grocery store if there's a busker. And they are awesome. I love music. I love live music. I love Spotify, I love rocking out to my friends bands and garage. I love jamming with my friends after you know after they have a couple beers because like I don't drink. I love music. And so Empire records is based around like a music store. And as a little kid, like, my favorite thing to do was go to HMV. It was like the local like cassette CD store. And like I love going to HMV and like looking through the music and the posters and listening to samples. And so anyways, Empire records is about this music store. I'm not going to go too much into the details of this, but there's this character, Lucas. And Lucas says this quotes in the beginning of the movie, and it is I do not regret the things I've done, but those I did not do. And I heard this quote in the early 90s, where I guess like mid 90s. And it's stuck with me like it has stuck with me, because it's just like so true. And that's how I live my life. And so when I responded to this email, I was like responding. I was like, Haha, like they're not going to use this, but I'm going to tell them what it is anyways, because, you know, probably people are like Oprah like Gabby Bernstein Brene Brown Gandhi. I'm like Lucas Empire records. And I shared it, and thrive global actually published an article with this quote, the quotes they selected, and my quote, of my favorite quote, was shared. I do not regret the things I've done. But those I did not do.
Theresa Lambert:Oooo so juicy. I love this quote. And I want to start though, by just celebrating you. That is so cool that it got picked up. It's those little things that go a long way that I feel like are so cool to celebrate. And I love that quote. And I'm also really excited to watch Empire records with you in the cave next week when I'm back at your house.
Blair Kaplan Venables:Yes. Okay. So, first of all, if you're listening and you've never seen Empire records, your assignment Your assignment is to go and watch Empire records and record We're back. I don't know anyone who's watched it and didn't love it. Unless you are someone who hates music and he's laughing. But like guar is in there they eat pot brownies at some point. They're trying to save the, the the privately owned business for becoming a corporate monster and there's a celebrity there and it's Rex Manning day and like, it's all sorts of shenanigans and I just frickin can't wait to show it to you, Theresa. So thank you for celebrating this. This is actually really big because my social media empowerment pillars, there is a win pillar W and I'm very big on celebrating wins. And you know what, in the grand scheme of things coming up for me, like I'm going to be on a billboard in Times Square in New York, I'm publishing the global Resilience Project book in the next couple of weeks, plus two chapters in two separate books that I've written are also being published like June's a huge month, those are big wins. But if you don't celebrate the even like the smaller wins, how can people know what you're up to or how awesome you are? Even like, it doesn't even have to be politically wins. But wins is a social media empowerment pillar that you should, you know, celebrate. So sharing it here on this podcast is amazing, because look what's possible. But also now how many of you are going to add Empire records, to your list of favorite movies.
Theresa Lambert:I love that. And I want to bring this back to this quote, I do not regret the things I've done. But those I did not do. And one thing that I want to add here, as you are all listening to blen, as she has these amazing celebrations and massive fucking wins coming up, I mean, come on, I can't wait to see your beautiful face. In New York on Times Square, I mean, that is so massive, and you know, it's a big wins and the little wins, but it's really all the memories that it creates you it's those moments of appreciation and acknowledgement and celebration, when when we're at all of what's possible, because we choose to put ourselves out there and do the things, right. And the cool thing that I find about I do not regret the things I've done, but those I didn't know do is that at any moment in time, you really get to pick up the things you didn't do. And you get a new opportunity to go do the things you want to do. So if you are, you know, listening to this and you feel inspired to get wins. A, I feel like, you know, you should reach out to plan and check out her empowerment program that's coming up. Because I think that you would learn a lot in terms of putting yourself out there and Blair's amazing and I know this program is going to be amazing, and people will be able to getting exposure and that media, growing social media getting again, PR things you might end up on a frickin billboard in Times Square. I mean, anything is possible, but but really, you know, take this quote, and use it as a catalyst to feel inspired about, oh shit, what are the things I regret not doing? And which of those things do I want to start to do now? And I find that that is really, really cool. And you know, personally, I've been on a I've been on a journey I've been on a road trip. I made a massive life change in life decision a few weeks ago and I I separate it from my husband or at least started the process off of separation and there's a long journey ahead and and I send only love his way. I want to say that here and we have a lot to talk about. But what I have realized and what's channeling through me as Blair product is quote, and me being excited about this movie, is that, that one of the things that I regret not having looked at Elia is actually being really honest and truthful about the things that aren't working for me in my life anymore that are not in integrity with with my value or my worth and and to have let that stop me so long. From really going after what I want and playing a fucking bigger game and I really feel called to play a bigger game right now. And I've been channeling my fucking audacity to call myself out on my own shit like at a level that scares the fucking bejesus out of me. But the thing is, it's been the most liberating thing. And so this quote, just really inspired me to to be like, You know what, yeah, like, I there's things that I want to do. I'm gonna go on a road trip through Canada. This summer. I'm super excited to visit people. I've been wanting to do that for too fucking long. And I haven't done it. And I can let go of the regret because it's happening now. I'm going to go visit my friend in Alaska Heather, who was actually On the pod, I'm gonna fly out to Alaska I made spent the entire fall winter in Nosara, Costa Rica, and I'm just really lit the fuck up like by the opportunity. So this this quote, I don't regret the things I haven't I regret the things I haven't done. I don't
Blair Kaplan Venables:I do not regret I don't regret the things I've done with those I did not do.
Theresa Lambert:Thank you, thank you for saving me that that really, you know, that just even gave me the, you know, courage and vulnerability to share what I just shared with you all. Oh,
Blair Kaplan Venables:first of all, I just want to take a minute to hold space and acknowledge that you just did something very fucking vulnerable and brave. And I've been alongside this journey with you. And I just want to say I'm proud of you for sharing that with our listeners. Because it's real. Like we have a real life outside these 20 to 50 minutes, episodes. And we bring a real life experiences to you. And I love that I'm watching this new version, Teresa 2.0 unfold. Because we can't ever live in a place of regret everything that we've done has led us to where we are today. But it's in that space of the things that we haven't done. And especially the things that we want to do that we haven't done and something's holding us back is a place of pain. Right knowing we want to do something specific. And you know, it's interesting, because I mean, there's everyone out there has their own like belief system on how they should live their life, like some people don't believe in divorce and just like living unhappy or some people don't believe in like spending their money and saving for retirement. But then look, I had two parents die in their 60s and one retired because he was like really ill my mom didn't even have a chance to retire. And I'm choosing to live a life of making money and spending money in the sense of not saving for retirement but living a life I don't need to retire from and not having regret and wanting to go to, you know, I want to go to Portugal, I'm gonna go visit Teresa in Costa Rica. Like in June, I'm going to be in Vegas and Winnipeg and New York. And you're like this shifts expensive. But that's also like I run a business I can control I need to make more money to do something. I bring on more clients. Like I am in control, and I don't want to live in a place of regret. And I love that you have made that decision to not live in a place of regret sitting at home, wishing you were doing things because how many years has it been that you've been like, oh, I want to spend my winter in Costa Rica. Like I want to be warm for the winter. And I completely relate like I'm a little lady who's like just wants to wear a fanny pack and play bingo and like retire to Palm Springs. So I'm like I I'm, I'm so proud of you, Teresa. For choosing to live a life of no regrets. No regrets, you know that like tattoo meme that around? It's like this guy has like the word regrets tattooed across his chest but it's spelt wrong spelt regrets, no regrets. So let's talk about something Teresa like, what what is what else is in this life of freedom in the sense of like Theresa 2.0 of things you want to do little and big. What are some things that we're going to watch unfold over the next year.
Theresa Lambert:You gonna watch and watch, you're gonna unfold. Some bit, you're gonna see some big things unfold. Like I, I also will say that literally like the last two and a half weeks, I feel like I've done no growth worth of a lifetime. Like, I've taken a fucking deep dive into my soul into my life into my business into my relationships into into like, like everything, like, I will tell you all like I am putting every fucking thing on the table right now because I'm no longer willing to let things hold me back from doing what I really want to do and from creating what I really want to do and from creating the way I want to do it. And also some of those pieces that I'm really seeing for me is that that like the creation piece my work like creating, expressing myself creatively. Serving my clients at a very, very high high level, being on these journeys, creating these epic businesses, for people with people alongside people for myself, sharing the journey and a vulnerable as fuck way. Like all these things. light me up so much. And my work is my work that creation really, because it's a creative process. I am realizing for myself that that is what I want my life to be like I want to space I want to experiences I want to travel, I want to sex, I want to romantic fucking nights dancing under the moonlight, I want to be fucking pulling out like genius copy and refining launch strategies and business strategies as fucking 4am. Because I feel like it and I feel like a boss at 4am. And I'm going to let myself have it. Hey, like, I really want to live this like rich, exquisite, beautiful, no regret life where it's really about playing big. And it's about creating this life that I'm like, Holy shit, I'm activated by my life. And the way I show up in it, so that is what you're going to see unfold. And within that, I'm stepping up my game, I got an amazing mastermind coming up the strategic mastermind, and it's going to be a incredible six month journey for the 10 people that are joining one spots already taken, I haven't officially launched, I'm launching like I'm literally about to launch, those spots will go. And that's going to be wildly exciting as I have also decided that I'm doubling my prices, and all for all that I'm going to be traveling, I am going to be in different places, I'm gonna be on the road, which is so fun. And then also a little scary. And I've got my podcast, my solo podcasts coming out of a six figure coach. All right. Cool shifts happening, you know, and what I what I want you to all know, too, is that it all started by just looking at the things that needed looking at, and starting that healing for myself. And you know, Blair, you said you're right, I've I've been wanting to live somewhere warm through the winter months for so fucking long. And ever since that retreat was happening Costa Rica, like I felt so called. And I had an amazing journey a long time ago, and through South America, and I really loved it. And, and yeah, I'm feeling called to just do that. And a second you acknowledge the things that are stopping you. And sometimes the people that are stopping you, because you place value and off what you had with somebody, right you place value of the things that you have in your life, the second you, you, you remove yourself, and detach yourself from the meaning that you give the things or the people that are in your life and allow yourself to be like fuck, like, I was made for more I was made for a richer life, I was made for a different life, I, I I got to start making choices from that place of where I really want to go. Rather than making choices from this place off. I can't do it because it will mean
Theresa Lambert:people and things get left behind. And one of the things I always like to say is I look at life like you're on a train Blair. I think I probably shared this with you before, but I look at life like on the strain. Like we all have our own train and people get on and things get on. And sometimes it's time for people and things to get off. And some people like Blair I feel like once once you got on my drain, you and I will ride the fucking train forever, like you and I will ride that train until we can ride the train anymore. Even then we're gonna read still be riding the train. And that's just a thing. You know, it was time for me to stop the train. And to say these things. And sadly, this relationship I have to get off the train and I'm going to bless and release them and I'm going to do it in the most compassionate, loving kind way that I possibly can and hold myself with the most grace and integrity for the process that is going to be unfolding that's going to be hard.
Blair Kaplan Venables:And I think that like I think what you're saying is so beautiful. And maybe this is a whole nother conversation about like the changing of the guards. The changing of the trains, the changing of relationships like that can be a whole nother conversation we dive into because it happens in our family. It happens with our lovers. It happens with our friends. It happens with our clients and change Do relationships especially ones that you're so woven into is really fucking hard. And I am very proud of you for that. And you know what? I'm going to be on your train forever just like you're on my train forever. You know what we're one of those double decker trains that just keeps going through the mountains and then to the beach. I love it like the Rocky Mountaineer. I keep seeing go by. So I live in Kamloops. And I live near train tracks. And I think there's like 20 or 25 trains that go by a day. It's really interesting. I don't hear them anymore. But every so often a passenger train comes through. And I love it. I like the way I stand, like wave at the people. That's what I picture. You and I have a one of those big, big beautiful luxurious trains. But I guess to wrap this conversation up, Theresa, I'm so excited for your journey to unfold and for what you're going to share with our dissecting success community and me. I just I was thinking like Theresa to point out but I think it's 2.0 2.0 2.20 No, anyways, I need more coffee. On that note, I do not regret the things I've done with those I did not do. Awesome episode. Thanks for tuning in to another episode and thank you for dissecting success with us. Peace.
Theresa Lambert:That's a wrap for another episode of dissecting success. enjoyed this episode. Make sure to subscribe to black goblin Venables and Theresa Lambert's podcast dissecting success on the App Store.
