Happy holidays. Happy Hanukkah, happy

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Kwanzaa

Theresa Lambert:

Kwanzaa, I be eating too many cookies, having a lot of fun, pretending to be working, but really you're not happy in between holiday time. Such a cool time. I am for the first time in my life, spending the holidays in a tropical destination. I have moved to Tulum, Mexico, and I'm young till the end of March while Blair z is tuning in from snowy, Freezy Kamloops. But hopefully, she's going to be having a tropical escape soon we will see but here we are in the middle of the holidays. We're coming in with a light episode. And we thought it'd be really fun to talk about our intentions and our words for 2020 free. This is something that Blair and I always do every year. And we set these these intentions we set this to help guide us throughout the year. And it's it's part of what I do also through the business planning process that I lead our momentum clients through and also my private clients. And I love it. I really really love it. And if you come join us for velocity link to sign up in the bio. It's all free masterclass. Coming back. I will also be talking about that a little bit. But my word for 2023 is devotion. Devotion. What about you Blair before I like share more about what that means to me? What is the word for you? And what are you up to right now?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah Purgatory, I actually, like took most of the time off between the holidays, but not really because I'm always creating and preparing for what's to come. You know, I on November 13, which was my would have been my dad's birthday. I don't know what came over me, but I bought a kitten. And so I've just been hanging out with my kitten, and my two cats phrase, a rag doll. And, you know, this time of year, I don't really go outside too much, and if I do is to run errands. But yeah, you're right. In January, I'm coming to Mexico. So that's exciting. And maybe I'll see you I'm still trying to sort that out. But yeah, this year has been really interesting. It definitely started off on really a really interesting note. And I'm definitely you know, ending it on a really interesting note. And I was thinking about how do I want to feel at the end of 2023. And I want to feel healthy, wealthy and happy. And what word is going to help me get there and I was thinking about it and my word is bountiful. Large in quantity abundant, but the word abundance is used too much. I like bountiful. Like it sounds like a more hearty word. Like, here's my bounty of goodness. That's like that's what I'm picturing. So, yeah, bountiful is my word. So let's let's talk about yours.

Theresa Lambert:

I love it bountiful. I think that's so cool. I think bountiful is great and she's also makes me like I just You said that and I was like envisioning you out in the woods with a bow and arrow and like going like hunting and like picking like fruits and never had nobody had this like when I'm gonna go pick some fruits and hunt away talking about whimsical things. I got sucked into the totally I think this is like separate before I share about devotion and I got my avatars made, so I'm gonna have to post some of them because they're pretty cool. But, um, jokes aside, I love bountiful. I think that's really, really cool. I hope the holidays are bountiful for you. And for me, devotion, devotion is my word. And I really, I, for me, when I think about how I want to feel at the end of the year, it's light, it's energized, it's proud. It's it's like, there's so many things that have come in for me. But one of the things that really hit home for me in 2022, was that I have this tendency to, to response with this innate response of overproduction of the creation of working, like, my autopilot is to just, you know, I feel the sacred fire, I have a lot of energy, and I just like, have this like innate need to put it all out there. And that's cool. I mean, that's amazing. And it's allowed me to create some incredible results. And I'm a bit like The Flash, I can move at lightning speed, but it's not sustainable flow of creation, like I can sustain, when I always operate that way. And it made me realize, why do I always need to give all of that out. And so, in order for me to be able to feel the lightness that I want, and the spaciousness that I want, and just really making a lot of these changes, I've simplified so much. So devotion for me, goes deeper around devotion into being like devotion and into my health, devotion into my spirituality. So staying really connected with my intuition, devotion to my relationships, so be nurturing the relationships that are around me, and being intentional and also devotion to my business. So really making sure that every day for our 2023, those are four areas of my life I want to be devoted to. And I want to show up for and I want to feel good about and having all of that requires me to keep some of that fiery energy that I generate for myself. I love it.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

I mean, you're in a rebirth, like you're starting the year off in such a different space, literally, and physically and emotionally. And I'm excited for this for you.

Theresa Lambert:

Thank you.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

We you remember, like we were just messaging on Instagram. Like, we looked at one of our reels we did together and it's like, you're a whole different person.

Theresa Lambert:

Yeah, on Oh, my God, like that was we were launching velocity last year this time. And yeah, like when you said that, and I looked at it, and I was like, wow, I look tired.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah. And pale.

Theresa Lambert:

And pale. Yeah.

Blair Kaplan Venables:

And like, Yeah, you look like you had no life in you. Yeah. And you've come back to life. And it's cool, because I was really good friends with you in your old life. And I'm really good friends with you in this life. And I just didn't you know, I met you when you were living your old life. And so it's really cool to see this version of you coming out of your cocoon and spreading your wings like a butterfly. And I think devotion is the perfect word for you. And I love that you're putting yourself first.

Theresa Lambert:

Yeah, important. Yeah. And sticking with that, you know? Yeah. I think like I've I've been working on that for years. But again, it's really hard to break through autopilots you know?

Blair Kaplan Venables:

Yeah. Oh, my gosh, so good. Yeah, I think that's, that's really great. And I don't really have too much to say about my word like bountiful. Like, I just want everything I do to be in a place of abundance. I want to be healthy. Like I'm navigating some health stuff. The doctor thinks it's maybe endometriosis. Like, that's a whole nother conversation. But I want to be healthy. I want to be happy and not just like, oh, like I waking up today happy and tomorrow. I'm not. I just want to generally be happy. I'm coming out of a state of deep deep grief. The year started off with my dad dying last year started off with my mom dying. You know, that's, that can never happen again. So I want to start the year off happy and I want to remain happy and yeah, there's going to be emotional fluctuations and whatnot, and that's fine. wealthy, wealthy isn't just money. I just want to feel wealthy, like I want to feel pleasure. Like the other day I was eating something so delicious. And I felt really wealthy. Like I you know, have this really beautiful fluffy white will now turning brown kitten, or maybe it's gray. I feel wealthy that I like have the luxury of having this beautiful pet. You know, and I want to make a certain amount of money. needs so that I can do things like when I travel, which I do all the time I travel business, or first. You know, I want to know that I have enough money to be philanthropic to give back. I really believe in philanthropic work, you know, we're going to be launching the second global Resilience Project book. That's my philanthropic work. I want to get on more stages, I want to do more things. I want to help more people and turn my pain into purpose, because that helps me feel wealthy. And then yeah, so healthy, wealthy and happy. Like, you know, easy peasy. And then bountiful is like, I just want to have a lot of happiness. And I want to be able to give back lot and I just want to feel like there's an abundance, and I don't want to live in a place of lack. I don't want to live in a place of lack. I want it to just feel like I have an abundance of friends and abundance of support. And I'm still trying to define what that means to me. And I think it's going to be a feeling as I go.But 2023 is, you know, thelast three years have been very hard for me. And I think 2023 is going to be pretty epic.

Theresa Lambert:

I love that. I love that. And I love that bountiful is the word and I think Epic is what I'm feeling. Yeah, feeling for you feeling for me and different, you know, different? I definitely feel like 2022 Yeah, both it was a doozy. Oh my god, I look like I'm in a beautiful place. I you know, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. But I spent a lot of time and break down on the floor crying, I dealt with a lot of shadows, I let go of some massive things, you went through another loss, like another loss, like losing another family member like mongst all sorts of other things like 2022 continued to show us that we're both resilient and continue to also I feel like teach both of us to to really do things we're passionate about and really follow our purpose and, and really look at everything that we're doing in business as we've been working on creating our own strategies and plans for what 2023 brings. And I feel like that's also some really new exciting energy that we'll be sharing inside velocity, which is happening on January 4, which we'd love to invite you for. So if you want to come just click the link in the bio just sign up it's in January. Just sign up and then don't worry about it will remind you you'll get a replay you get a Facebook girl today.
